People and scientists don't know when the SARS started and they don't know exactly when but people were getting sick in year 2003~2004. It began on December 2003 and January 2004, April 22, 2004. The SARS came from 2 places, which were Southern Guangdong province Beijing, and in Anhui, a province in eastern China.
This picture shows that in cases, how many people influenced by SARS. As you see the graph, you can see China has the most population who got SARS. As you know there were most SARS because it started from China. The dark green part means there are the most population or percentage of people who got SARS, the light blue means there are people who got SARS but not much as the dark green and the yellow part means there are not many people who got SARS.
The graph is telling us that the SARS transferred to the other countries as well. As you see the graph, China is the top, Hong Kong is the second and United States is the third. The other countries didn't get SARS much as those 3 countries have. It is good to have not SARS in your country.
The last graph shows you that how many people died in 2003. There were 235 people died in China, 215 in Hong Kong, 28 in Singapore, 22 in Canada, 5 in Vietnam, 2 in Thailand, Malaysia, and Philippines and 1 person in Africa. In total, 530 people died in 2003 because of SARS.
The result that because the SRAS influenced to the animal and when people eat food such as pigs or cows, it can cause. When there is wind that with sand, you have to wear masks to protect. Like the picture at the top.
